Poem: Once Upon a Rest Stop Dreary

Once upon a midnight weary,
Low on gas and windshield smeary,
Wondered I at rest stop dreary,
"Mini-donuts, or a coffee?"
Quarters I had were but three
And neither item was for free.

Little powdered donuts pasty
Or a toasty beverage tasty?
Did I want a pierced pastry
Or some caffeine? Don't be hasty!
Troubled I at vendor's store,
Quoth the Raven, "One, None More"...

So I made a compromise,
Bought a soda, bottle-size.
And headed back upon my journey.
"Oops! A Toll Road! Woe is me...
